Private Brokerage
A Private Luxury Asset Broker for Buyers and Sellers
According to Passion Asset Advisory, we advise across six asset classes: jets, yachts, art, watches, bags, and cars. We work through mandates and alongside your wealth manager, never in place of it.
What does the model actually consist of?
A luxury lifestyle brokerage is built from four functions, applied across every asset class it covers: sourcing visible and off-market supply, verifying ownership and condition before commitment, negotiating on one side of the deal only, and coordinating the transaction to completion. It holds no inventory and earns a disclosed, success-based fee:
- Sourcing: public listings for reference pricing; owner networks, dealers, and collector circles for the assets that never reach a listing
- Verification: ownership and title, condition, documentation, and provenance, checked by specialists appropriate to the category before any commitment
- Negotiation: conducted by the office, on the client's side only, without exposing identity, budget, or urgency
- Transaction coordination: contracts, escrow, inspections, registration, insurance, and logistics, sequenced to completion
The instrument that holds it together is the mandate: a confidential brief defining the asset, the parameters, the budget logic, and what stays private. See how mandates work. Around the mandates sit two adjacent practices: flat-fee advisory for owners who want counsel without a transaction, and partnership programs for the professionals who serve the same clients.
How it differs from the alternatives
- vs a marketplace: a marketplace shows public inventory and leaves diligence and negotiation to you; a brokerage works the whole market on your behalf. Full comparison →
- vs a single-category dealer: a dealer sells inventory it owns; its margin lives in the spread. A brokerage holds no inventory and is paid disclosed fees to represent you
- vs a concierge: a concierge arranges access; a brokerage executes transactions. Different disciplines, often complementary
- vs an auction house: auctions provide competitive bidding at the cost of publicity and calendar; a brokerage sells privately, on your timeline
Who uses one?
Clients include ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices, entrepreneurs at liquidity events, collectors building or unwinding positions, and advisors acting for principals. Net worth is not the common requirement. The transaction must be large, rare, or sensitive enough that improvisation would be expensive.
How does a credible brokerage charge?
The verified published schedule covers 2–3% on aircraft acquisitions, 10% on MYBA-style yacht sales, and 20–25% on consigned bags, plus flat-fee advisory. Art, collector-car, and watch-mandate fees are set out in writing for the specific engagement; no standard percentage is asserted here. On a watch direct sale, the seller pays no advisory commission to Passion Asset Advisory. The represented side, counterparty, fee, and any third-party costs are disclosed before work begins.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a concierge service?
A concierge arranges tables, travel, logistics, and other access. A brokerage executes transactions through valuation, verification, negotiation, contracts, and escrow. Many concierge companies route these requests to a white-label brokerage desk.
Is a luxury lifestyle brokerage a regulated business?
Brokerage of physical assets is generally not a licensed financial activity. However, transactions can involve regulated areas such as aircraft registration, maritime law, customs, and CITES rules for exotic leathers. We engage licensed specialists for these tasks. Licensed advisers must provide any regulated investment advice; we do not provide it.
Where is this private brokerage based?
In Main Point Karlín (Karlín's award-winning business center) at Pobřežní 620/3, Prague 8, ten minutes from Prague's old town. Meetings are by appointment, in Prague or wherever the asset and the client are; mandates are executed worldwide under the same confidentiality discipline.
Does one office really cover six asset classes?
The judgment process transfers between categories, but specialist diligence does not. We use aviation inspectors, marine surveyors, art provenance researchers, and watch and leather authenticators for verification. The mandate discipline, negotiation process, and confidentiality standard remain consistent across the categories.
The Model
This is what we do. All day, across six markets.
