Why hardware, wear and paperwork need review
A universal premium would ignore the combination. Sotheby’s 27 January 2026 Gold Birkin guide says neither gold-tone nor palladium hardware consistently leads on resale value. This tool therefore gives neither finish an automatic uplift.
Wear, restoration, colour, year and missing accessories need specific comparable evidence. An original receipt can assist provenance checks, but it does not prove the condition or authenticity of the bag now offered. Diamond-set hardware and exotic skins require specialist assessment, not stacked multipliers.
How to get an individual Birkin estimate
Start with the exact model, size, leather, colour, hardware, approximate year, location and known repairs. Ask any prospective assessor what photographs and physical checks are needed, which comparable evidence will be used and what the assessment costs. A preliminary opinion can change after the bag and records are examined.
This reference tool does not offer a bag mandate or individual valuation service. For a proposed transaction, confirm the provider, represented side, fees and any inspection, custody or transit costs in writing. There is no guaranteed offer or sale. What does the Birkin value calculator show?
The Passion Asset Advisory tool checks whether your selections fit a limited published reference category. A supported selection shows a dated marketplace band, not a personalised valuation, a live quote, an offer or the seller’s net proceeds.
Which combinations can show a reference band?
This tool only shows its reference for a classic-leather Birkin 25 or 30 described as pristine and unworn, with standard gold-tone or palladium hardware and a full set. Colour, year and special details still need review. This is a conservative display rule, not proof that every qualifying bag has the same value.
Why does my result say individual review needed?
The selected size, leather, diamond hardware, condition or incomplete set falls outside this tool’s reference rule. It does not mean the bag has little value. We do not have a verified adjustment formula for those details.
Does gold hardware always increase the price?
No fixed uplift is applied here. Gold-tone and palladium hardware use the same reference. The exact bag and buyer preference need review; multiplying every gold-hardware bag by a preset percentage would create false precision.
Can I use this result for insurance or an estate?
No. Ask the insurer, executor or other recipient what written valuation standard and qualified appraiser they require. This reference comparison is not a formal appraisal.
Are my selections sent to the office?
No. The comparison runs in your browser and does not submit or store the selected details. The controls do not contact an assessor or request an individual review.
Will I receive the amount shown if I sell?
Not necessarily. A marketplace reference does not deduct your selling fees, taxes or other costs and is not a committed buyer bid. Actual seller proceeds depend on the agreed transaction price and deductions; an individual bid may differ from the reference.
