Luxury auction and event calendar: planning checks
The passion-asset year runs on a calendar of auctions, concours, fairs, and shows. An exhibition is not an auction, and an auction listing is not a completed sale. Check catalogue entries, conditions and published results separately. Below is that calendar by category, with the recurring month and location for each marquee event. Treat the timing as a seasonal guide; organisers confirm exact dates closer to the event, and some run only in alternate years.
Recurring events by category
Most rows preserve seasonal planning windows, not confirmed dates for a particular year. The dated Monaco, Geneva salon and NBAA entries are checked against their organisers. Follow the source links below before booking; a prior edition does not establish the next one.

What are the biggest collector car auctions?
Passion Asset Advisory groups the main collector-car auction seasons rather than claiming a verified size ranking. The calendar includes Scottsdale in January (including Barrett-Jackson and other separately scheduled sales), the Paris sales in February, Amelia Island in March, and above all Monterey Car Week in August, where RM Sotheby's, Gooding, and Bonhams sell the year's record cars. Goodwood and Rétromobile anchor the European calendar. Dates vary annually.
When is the Monaco Yacht Show?
The Monaco Yacht Show takes place in late September each year at Port Hercule in Monaco. The flagship superyacht show runs for four days. It typically follows the Cannes Yachting Festival earlier in September. The organiser lists 23 to 26 September for 2026. Check the ticket type and access conditions separately; a show pass does not automatically include a yacht visit.
What are the major art fairs in 2026?
The major fairs are Art Basel (Basel, June) and its editions in Miami Beach (December), Hong Kong (March) and Paris (October); Frieze (London in October, New York in May, Los Angeles in February); and TEFAF Maastricht (March). Major auction weeks run in New York and London each spring and autumn.
When are the main luxury watch auctions held?
The big Geneva watch sales by Phillips, Christie's, and Sotheby's cluster in May and November, around Watches and Wonders Geneva in April and the GPHG awards in November. New York, Hong Kong, and online sales run through the year. Confirm specific 2026 dates with each auction house.
