Sell your Patek Philippe Nautilus

Passion Asset Advisory is seeking a new-condition Nautilus 5712/1A-001 and a new-condition 5711, both with box and papers. Any 5711 dial can be proposed, with blue preferred. The full reference, metal, documents and reported condition must be checked before an offer; “new” does not mean current factory production.

Two defined requests

Passion Asset Advisory's Nautilus buying briefs

These active acquisition mandates were confirmed on 10 October 2026. They describe watches sought, not watches held in stock. Use the linked mandate record to check current status before proceeding. An enquiry does not create an accepted offer or an instruction to send the watch.

Have another Nautilus, a worn example or a different set? Use the general Patek Philippe seller review. It can assess the available route without presenting the watch as a match for these briefs.

Do not pool the references

Why a 5711 and a 5712 need separate reviews

Patek Philippe's 2006 Nautilus technical release distinguishes the steel 5711's time-and-date display from the steel 5712's date, moon-phase and power-reserve displays. That is useful identification context, not evidence that every watch with a similar dial is correct or original.

The manufacturer's 2021 Nautilus release records different 5711 references and dial colours. “5711” is therefore not a complete sale description. Do not assume a steel-only brief or treat a preferred blue dial as permission to omit the reference suffix, metal or known dial changes.

Use historical technical documents to identify features, not to infer current production, stock or price. An owner's reference and records must be checked against the physical watch.

The details to send first

  • Full reference: copy every letter, slash and suffix from the available records; flag anything uncertain.
  • Metal and dial: describe the actual case and dial, including any known replacement or modification.
  • Purchase and set: give the purchase date if known, identify the papers and list the box, spare links and accessories actually present.
  • Condition and work: disclose wear, sizing, service, polishing, repairs and known functional concerns.
  • Authority and location: confirm whether you own the watch or represent its owner, and the country where it is now.

Keep complete serial numbers and ownership documents in the private enquiry. Do not open the case to obtain a number. Patek Philippe's watch-authenticity guidance reserves case-back removal for its authorised retailers or service centres.

A description to verify

What “new” or “unworn” means for this enquiry

Report the watch's actual history. State whether it has been worn, sized, stored, handled, serviced or polished. Describe visible marks even if you believe it is unworn. A purchase date, protective film or a clean photograph does not by itself establish present condition.

Photographs should show the dial, bezel, case sides, case back, bracelet and clasp in clear light. Keep close views of any marks with the wider photographs. List removed links rather than assuming that a sized bracelet is complete. Do not polish the watch to make it appear new before the review.

The requested condition remains subject to inspection. “New” describes the proposed watch, not a factory allocation or a statement that its reference is still being manufactured. If the evidence supports a different condition, say so; the general sale review is the appropriate next step.

Describe the documents, not just “full set”

Original certificate, box and archive extract

Patek Philippe distinguishes the original Certificate of Origin supplied with a new watch from an Extract from the Archives, which transcribes historical records. The manufacturer says the original certificate cannot be re-issued. See its document FAQ and lost-certificate guidance.

List the original certificate, any extract, purchase invoice, service records, box and accessories separately. State which items are missing or replacements. Do not describe an extract or service invoice as original papers, and do not assume that an extract satisfies the requested set. Documents support the review; they do not replace inspection.

The Patek Philippe box-and-papers guide explains how to prepare the file. A watch-only example belongs in a general enquiry, not an asserted match for the new-condition, box-and-papers briefs.

The amount and its conditions

How Passion Asset Advisory separates a bid from seller net

A dealer's asking price shows what it wants to receive. A written purchase bid states what a counterparty proposes to pay for your watch, subject to its conditions. Seller net is the amount left after your agreed fees and costs. Compare these figures only for the same reference, condition and included set.

On a buyer-side acquisition mandate, the buyer pays the office's fee and the seller pays the office no commission. That is different from a seller-side instruction. If you choose another route, the published Patek Philippe sale terms set out the role and applicable fees. No new fee schedule is created for Nautilus watches.

Ask for the proposed price, currency, represented side, any seller costs, inspection terms and payment trigger together. The office never advises both sides of one transaction. An active brief does not guarantee a bid, a completed sale or a particular net amount.

Use the Patek Philippe value guide for the evidence method. Its historical screening bands are not current offers for these briefs. No live Nautilus price range or completed-sale dataset is established on this page.

Use the right route

When this Nautilus sale page is a fit

Best fit: You own, or are authorised to sell, a watch that may meet either brief and can provide its complete reference, reported condition and document list. Start with the active-mandate enquiry; photographs follow in the private email exchange.

Use a general review: The watch is worn, papers are missing, its reference is different or its condition is uncertain. The Patek Philippe sale enquiry keeps that review separate from confirmed mandate fit.

Not a stock enquiry: These are requests to acquire watches from owners. If you want to buy a Nautilus, use a separate collector-watch sourcing brief. This page is not an available-watch listing or a promise of retail access.

FAQ

Selling a Nautilus 5711 or 5712

Which Nautilus watches are currently sought?

Passion Asset Advisory confirmed active mandates on 10 October 2026 for a new-condition 5712/1A-001 and a new-condition 5711, both with box and papers. Any 5711 dial can be proposed, with blue preferred. Full reference, metal, condition, documents, ownership and inspection still determine fit.

Does the 5711 brief accept only a blue steel watch?

No steel-only requirement has been stated. Any dial may be proposed, with blue preferred. Give the full reference and case metal so the actual watch can be checked against the brief. The preference does not make every blue Nautilus, or every 5711 variant, an automatic match.

Can a watch be described as new if it is an older reference?

The brief uses new as a condition request, not a production-date claim. Report purchase history, wear, sizing, storage, service and visible marks accurately. Unworn is an owner description to verify, not a substitute for inspection or evidence that the watch is in current factory production.

Can an archive extract replace missing original papers?

No. An Extract from the Archives is a historical record, not a replacement Certificate of Origin. Identify each document separately. If original papers are missing, request a general review and do not assume that the extract meets the box-and-papers requirement of an active brief.

What price will I receive for my Nautilus?

No fixed price or public budget is stated here. A useful offer concerns your exact reference, condition and set, with its inspection and closing terms. Compare written seller net, not a dealer's asking price or a historical model band. An enquiry does not guarantee an offer.

Should I send the watch with my first enquiry?

No. Send the text details first and provide photographs by private email after the reply. Before the watch moves, agree the counterparty, represented side, inspection, insured custody, return conditions and payment trigger in writing. A preliminary fit review does not authorise shipment.

Sources and limits

Manufacturer facts and current buying requests

Passion Asset Advisory reviewed the linked manufacturer sources on 10 October 2026. The 2006 and 2021 releases provide historical model context; they are not current price or production checks. The two current mandate records are separately owner-confirmed buying instructions, not manufacturer endorsements.

The office is independent of Patek Philippe and is not an authorised dealer for the manufacturer. A written agreement identifies the role, represented side, fees and completion conditions before a transaction proceeds.
